I know next to nothing about Scot...Excellent stuff. I know next to nothing about Scottish history, other than that which directly concerns England after James VI and I’s accession. Novels are a great way in to history I find, so I’ll look up some of Tranter’s work.<br /><br />One aspect that fascinates me is the mix of Brythonic, Goidelic and Northumbrian(?) territories and cultures that became the one nation.
